Our client has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their civil engineering team in Berkshire. The successful candidate will join their Capital Delivery Team and be integral in creating a leading ‘cutting-edge’ Engineering Team that can deliver the ambitions of our client for AMP 7 in the UK Water Sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly established Engineering team who are responsible for providing technical expertise on a number of exciting projects.
Remuneration Package: -
Salary of up to £55,000 p.a.
Family Healthcare.
26 days holiday.
Up-to 18% Pension Contributions (of which 12% is Employer Contribution).
Role:
Obtain the correct technical engineering requirements with the project definition briefs.
Improve technical assets.
Provide civil technical assurance during delivery, commissioning and hand over of Assets.
Ensure and deliver the engineering regulatory compliance on relevant assets in their discipline area.
Provide sign off to capital delivery.
Drive the digital advancement of our engineering within the corporate digital strategy
Ensure and deliver the engineering regulatory compliance on relevant assets in the civil engineering area.
Responsibilities:
Play a key role in civil engineering.
Providing technical input on project definition briefs.
Provide civil input into asset surveys and plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole life costing and preliminary designs.
Support the establishment of a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for engineering
Support the establishment of a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure from graduate to industry experts that lead our client’s engineering requirements into AMP8 and beyond
Experience / Qualifications:
Experienced Civil Engineer – With Chartered Status / or nearing completion.
Technical design competence within the UK Water Sector.
Experience working in one or more of the following: Water utility, civil infrastructure design and construction, water/wastewater treatment works and hydraulics design and construction.
Highly developed communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of the regulatory environment to achieve compliance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
A passion for continuous personal development.
