Blueprint Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability Associate (Building Physics) to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, on a permanent basis, based in London. As a prestigious consultancy, operating on a global scale, our client are dedicated providing market leading services within the engineering, architecture, environmental and building services sectors. Due to an increasing workload, they are now looking for an experienced Sustainability Associate to join their dynamic team.

Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for service line project delivery and management, including project management, client liaison and company quality audits and assurance.
  • Manage all division activities, as well as management and delivery of modelling services to clients
  • Manage and maintain any data, financial information and records related to service line tasks to ensure successful production of relevant deliverables
  • Support the development of junior members of the team

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • An Environmental / Sustainability / Energy / Building Services / Engineering related Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in a relevant subject as a minimum.
  • Practitioner / chartered (or equivalent) member of an appropriate industry association e.g. CIBSE/IMechE.
  • Form of accreditation in two or more of the following: LCC, LCEA Level 5, OCDEA
  • Successfully delivered in each of the following studies:

    • Part L - Domestic

    • Part L - Non-domestic

    • EPCs - Domestic

    • EPCs - Non-domestic

    • GLA Be Seen Operational Energy

    • Thermal Comfort

    • Overheating

    • System optimisation

    • Facade optimisation

    • Climate Risk Overheating

    • Daylighting

    • BREEAM credit modelling

  • Successfully delivered reports in each of the following:

    • GLA / London Plan Energy Statements

    • RS1 to RS4 modelling reports for Part L/BRUKL

    • As-built Part L/ BRUKL reports

    • Renewable Energy assessment reports (PV, Wind, Solar Thermal, Geothermal)

    • Decarbonisation Reports

  • Capable to manage others in the delivery of all of the following: BREEAM, NABERS UK DFP and Energy Assessor, WELL
  • Knowledge and experience of independent reports / data to successfully review and complete a Modelling Study:

    • Thermal Bridging U-value Assessment

    • Commissioning Reports

    • Air Tightness Test Reports

    • Glazing Datasheets

    • Cooling/Heating equipment datasheets

    • Luminaire Datasheets

  • Knowledge and ability to read Mechanical and Electrical Drawings and specifications.
  • Competency in using AutoCAD and / or Revit.
  • Skilled in IESVE and STROMA FSAP software. Ideally, competent in using either Rhino or Sketchup
