An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Thermal Hydraulic Analyst, to work for Rolls-Royce SMR in Derby or Warrington on projects that will contribute to the global reduction of carbon emissions. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the design project for a new nuclear power station and the establishment of a world class testing capability. About the Role:
The Graduate Thermal Hydraulic Analyst will be responsible for developing mathematical models in MATLAB (or similar) which replicate reactor thermal and hydraulic behaviour. These models will be used to quantify thermal hydraulic scaling distortions and select test rig scaling ratios.
You will be a recent graduate with a degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics or a related discipline. You will also have:
Some knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamic fundamentals.
Experience of developing mathematical models in MATLAB, Python or similar.
A willingness to challenge conventional thinking, with the desire to make a difference.
Although experience of thermal hydraulic scaling techniques would be ideal, this role is open to graduates who aspire to develop expertise in this field. Training will be provided.
