Our client is offering one experienced Lead Electrical Engineer the opportunity to operate from their leading engineering consultancy, on a contract basis. This established organisation is looking for you to bring your design expertise and skills to a variety of hyperscale Data Centre projects, which will be developed and delivered on a remote basis. -Competitive hourly rate ranging from £45-£50 (subject to experience).
-Remote working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
-Manage and oversee the development of electrical system designs, across a range of Hyperscale Data Centre projects, from concept through to implementation.
-Produce and develop detailed drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports, ensuring client requirements are being met.
-Liaise with project professionals, and other relevant parties, to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
-Ensure that all project works comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, key legislation, and sustainability goals.
-Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their professional development and nurturing technical and operational excellence.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with a chartered status, or actively working towards attaining one.
-Extensive experience as a Lead Electrical Engineer, or a similar role, working on a range of Hyperscale Data Centre projects.
-Strong proficiency in software tools, including Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant electrical design platforms, like Dialux, Amtech, and/or Relux.
-Significant understanding of electrical systems, with a focus on fire alarms, life safety systems, LV distribution systems, and lighting.
-Profound communication and leadership skills, with a strong commercial understanding, and an ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
