Our client, a specialist engineering consultancy, based in London, are seeking an experienced Planner to join their team, on a permanent basis. This position offers an on-site working environment, where in which the successful candidate will have the opportunity to oversee the management of a variety of water and wastewater treatment projects.

-Competitive salary of £55,000-£60,000 (subject to experience).

Responsibilities:

-Establish and maintain accurate Primavera P6 schedules across the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover project stages.

-Produce scenario models, progress reviews, programmes, and ‘what-if’ considerations, integrating internal and subcontractor schedules within a master programme.

-Support mitigation planning through the identification of schedule impacts, risks, and opportunities, whilst ensuring change management via impact reviews.

-Produce and maintain frequent schedule reports, focusing on earned value numbers, critical path surveys, narrative progress summaries, and KPI’s.

-Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring accurate data planning processes and programme and system alignment and synchronisation.

-Maintain client requirements, internal governance, and contract principles across all programmes, whilst promoting ongoing planning and practice advancements.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline.

-Profound experience as a Planner, or a similar project management role, with an understanding of P6 within utilities and infrastructure projects.

-Significant understanding of water and wastewater treatment systems, with demonstrable experience within a design and build environment.

-Strong proficiency in the use of relevant software tools, such as Primavera P6, and WBS setup, schedule logic, and cost and resource planning systems.

-Proficient abilities within forecasting, earned value, ‘what-if’ modelling, and critical path review.

-Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strong analytical and proactive problem-solving mindset.
