Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a Senior/Principal Public Health Engineer to be an active member of a well-established engineering consultancy, in a permanent position. Within this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client’s office, located near Bournemouth and Reading. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of public health projects, as a part of a skilled and dynamic team of engineers.

As a part of their extensive benefit scheme, our client also offers their employees the opportunity to work 9 days a fortnight, gaining one day off every 2 weeks.

-Competitive salary ranging from £40,000-£65,000 (depending on experience).

 Responsibilities:

-Create a variety of public health systems for several building projects, with a focus on drainage, waste, and water.

-Produce detailed drawings, reports, and specifications, and ensure that the project remains in compliance with regulations and practices.

- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, other professionals, and clients to produce design solutions.

-Assist in the creation of sustainable water design solutions, such as water reuse systems, resource conservation strategies, and efficient plumbing.

-Perform site visits, ensuring the project is progressing well, support commissioning, and settle project queries.

-Lead and guide junior engineers ensuring positive team development.

What we are looking for:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, and/or Environmental engineering, or a related field.

-Prior experience as a public health engineer, or a related role, working on projects withing the building services sector.

-Solid technical background with a proficiency in the use of design tools, including AutoCAD, BIM, and/or Revit, with knowledge of system calculations.

-Strong communicator, with solid coordination skills, and the ability to manage time and projects effectively and efficiently.

-Working towards, or at, a chartered status is desirable.
