Calling all Mechanical Design Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to join a respected multidisciplinary Engineering practice, on a permanent basis. As a remote position, the selected Mechanical Design Engineer will have the flexibility to operate from home but will be required to attend either the London office 3 times per week once it is reopened.

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding global team to play a crucial role in UK projects. As a leading Design Practice, our client specialises in a variety of sectors, including Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Leisure, Public Health Design and Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the concept through to construction

· Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed client requirements, budgets, profit margins and quality standards etc.

· Lead and deliver design, construction and installation projects

· Work closely with clients and project teams to establish project requirements

· Representing the Company at meetings with customers, architects, professional teams and contractor teams

Prepare project reports for Management, Client and others

· Manage designs compliant with latest CDM regulations, liaising with CAD team on M&E drawing production

· Mentoring more junior Engineers when required

· Coordination of Engineering services, with hands on delivery of concepts and detailed designs

· Complete risk and performance monitoring analysis through effective systems of internal control and delegation

Key Requirements:

· A Chartered Engineer or working towards with a BSc/BEng in a relevant Engineering discipline

· MCIBSE and appropriate experience or equivalent

· Previous experience of specification design for a range of building types/sectors including data centers

· Able to work under pressure and under own direction

- Willing to travel to the site, UK and internationally when required

· Working knowledge of contract and business law

· Have at least +5 years’ experience as a consulting Engineer/design Contracting

· Already operating at Senior Engineer level or equivalent

· Sound knowledge & working application of key health and safety issues/legislation

· High level of experience at chairing and leading project team meetings

· Strong communication skills

· Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team when required
