We’re partnering with a highly respected engineering solutions provider to find a Senior Design Manager with proven experience in electrical transmission and distribution (T&D). This is a key leadership role, supporting the design and delivery of high-voltage (HV) infrastructure across the UK, including projects for National Grid, SSEN and other major clients. What We’re Looking For: -Degree-qualified engineer (Electrical or Power Engineering preferred) with 7+ years' experience in transmission and distribution design, particularly HV substations, overhead lines (OHL), and underground cable systems. -Proven leadership in National Grid and DNO/TO projects, with strong understanding of TP137, impressed voltage, earthing, and temporary works requirements. -Sound working knowledge of UK grid codes, design standards (NGESO, ENA, IEC), and safety regulations including NEBOSH/IOSH certifications. -Track record of managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and project risks in a highly regulated environment. -Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
