Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Our client is looking to build their Mechanical team, so Senior and Engineer level applications will be considered. This is a great opportunity to work on water and wastewater projects with an experienced team. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis – 3 days in our clients Birmingham office, 2 days working from home. -Flexible working and hybrid arrangement. -Competitive salary between £45,000-£62,000 (depending on experience). Key Responsibilities: -Design mechanical installations and ensure alignment with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards. -Coordinate with internal teams, clients, authorities, contractors, and suppliers throughout all project phases. -Conduct site surveys and support feasibility, outline, and detailed design work. -Contribute to bids, business development, and technical standards, including procedures and specifications. -Mentor colleagues, drive innovation, support digital tool adoption, and represent the company in knowledge-sharing forums and conferences. PROJECT ENGINEER

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for multiple Project Engineer’s to join a leading contractor, specialising within the water sector, in a permanent position. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week from either Lutterworth or Bramcote. This is an exciting opportunity to work on and assist the project manager with a water treatment project in the Midlands. with an experienced and motivated team. -Competitive salary from £45,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Support the design, coordination, and delivery of water and wastewater projects from early stages through to completion. -Liaise with engineering teams, supply chain partners, and subcontractors to ensure design and build solutions meet project requirements. -Contribute to planning, risk management, quality assurance, and H&S compliance. -Attend site meetings, monitor progress, and provide engineering input during construction activities. -Ensure technical issues are identified, raised, and resolved promptly. -Assist with documentation, project reporting, and handover deliverables. You will be required to work full time on-site in Southampton. This is a great opportunity to work on an exciting water treatment project. -Day rate ranging from £450 to £600 (depending on experience). Key Responsibilities: -Lead safe, high-quality project delivery in line with company procedures, from planning through to completion. -Manage teams, resources, and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective execution and client satisfaction. -Oversee commercial and technical performance, while ensuring compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement. What we are looking for: -Project management experience in multi-disciplinary design and construction, ideally in water. -Degree in engineering, construction, or related field + PMQ or equivalent. -Strong leadership, team coordination, and client-facing skills. -Knowledge of NEC/IChemE contracts, CDM, and construction health & safety. -Experienced in risk management, project delivery, and governance reviews. Attention all Electrical Project Engineers! We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy, in a contract position, outside IR35. You will be required to full time on site in North Wales. This is a great opportunity to work on exciting water treatment projects, with a motivating team. -Day rate between £400-450, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and manage the site team and subcontractors, ensuring top safety standards, team performance, and effective issue resolution. -Plan and coordinate all aspects of the project including design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation. -Communicate effectively by chairing meetings, producing reports, and liaising with clients, designers, and third parties. -Support project delivery by preparing safety documentation, helping with subcontractor selection, and motivating the team to meet targets. What we are looking for: Essential: -Knowledge of IEE or BS 7671 electrical installation standards. -Relevant CSCS card and SMSTS qualification. -Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors. -Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
