Senior Technician required!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for a motivated Senior Technician to join a leading, multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing technical support, overseeing project documentation, and contributing to the successful delivery of medium size projects.

Our client is offering the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic team of Engineers and Technicians on exciting projects in a range of sectors, including, Nuclear, Custodial, Life Science, Industrial, Power, Aviation and Education.

Key Responsibilities:

· Take responsibility for the quality and completeness of all drawings for projects under your remit, including incoming and outgoing document control

Managing other CAD technicians

· Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff

· Promote and develop the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) within the department

· Manage information in accordance with company and client procedures

· Working closely with Engineers to understand and foresee practical challenges within a design

· Communicate clearly with all members in the team

· Delivering structural steelwork drawings, reinforced concrete drawings, RC detailing, and schedules

· Collaborating with the team to resolve design and detailing challenges

Key Requirements:

· Degree in Civil Engineering

· Chartered Engineer status

· Strong experience using AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Autodesk REVIT

· Able to produce 2D & 3D C&S deliverables from concept through to the design

· Previous experience working on medium size projects

· Working knowledge of traditional building materials, e.g. Steel, Timber, Concrete and RC detailing, and overall site wide infrastructure and earthworks

· Able to achieve security clearance and airside pass applications.

· Full UK drivers’ licence

· Strong understanding of the latest industry-standard software and information management techniques

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
