ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Location : BIRMINGHAM
Rate from : £40.00 per Hour

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading building design and services company on an initial 6 month contract basis, working remotely. The selected Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be focused on a number of large pharmaceutical projects.

As the selected Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have a range of roles and responsibilities

including:

  • Leading the electrical design of various projects

  • Working within a multi-disciplinary design team

  • Checking and approve the work of other electrical engineers for quality and accuracy

  • Managing project budgets

  • Managing bid, approval and construction issue electrical packages

  • Coordinating drawings with an understanding of engineering principles

  • Reviewing projects design processes and liaising with clients and contractors

  • Ensuring strong working relationships with colleagues and external partners/clients

  • Attending site visits

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject

  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body

  • Extensive experience in Electrical Engineering within building services

  • Proven experience working on industrial / pharmaceutical projects

  • Experience and knowledge of CAD software

  • Able to carry out short circuit calculations, load flow and discrimination studies utilising proprietary modelling software (Amtech / SKM)

  • Up to date knowledge of UK electrical design standards

  • Flexible and resilient with excellent communication skills

Line management experience would be advantageous

We have an excellent vacancy available for Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy on a permanent basis in Berkshire. Our client has a wealth of knowledge and experience delivering a variety of projects including commercial, retail, hospitality and data centre schemes.

The selected Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer will have a variety of roles and responsibilities such as:
