Senior Design Manager – Water & Wastewater Locations: Leeds, Warrington & Sheffield (Hybrid working options available) Salary: £75k-£85k + car allowance & bonus About the Opportunity A leading engineering solutions provider in the water treatment sector is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join their dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. You will be overseeing the full design life cycle of wastewater treatment projects, from concept and detailed design through to construction handover. What You’ll Do -Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. -Oversee design budgets, programmes, and quality standards to ensure successful project delivery. -Work closely with clients, representatives, and stakeholders to develop effective engineering solutions. -Ensure health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards are fully integrated into designs. -Represent the business at design reviews, HAZOPs, and key stakeholder meetings. -Provide mentorship, training, and resource planning to grow and strengthen your team. -Drive continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and innovative approaches. What We’re Looking For -Experience: 5+ years in a similar role, ideally within the water or wastewater sector. -Technical Expertise: Strong background in civil or process engineering (e.g., tank systems, earthworks, process units, M&E installations). -Qualifications: Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering -Knowledge of construction safety regulations (e.g., PSDP coordination) is highly desirable. -Skilled in programme management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and proficient with MS Office Suite. -Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. -Full driving licence required. Calling all Field Engineers! Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Field Engineer to join a well-established water treatment supplier, in a permanent position. Within this role, you will be required to work on-site from our client’s office near Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out service tasks on chemical, mechanical, electrical, and control systems for water treatment equipment, mainly in the UK and occasionally in the EMEA region. -Competitive salary ranging from £30,000-£40,000 (depending on experience) -Company pension scheme, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. Within this role, you would be required to work either on-site or on a Hybrid basis, from our client’s offices in Crawley, Birmingham, Derby, and/or Glasgow.
