Introducing Harriet and Liam, Blueprint’s new Talent Acquisition team!

Meet two dynamic individuals shaping our internal recruitment landscape here at Blueprint. Harriet, our new Internal Recruiter, joined us in December 2023 and has quickly become an integral part of the BPRS team.

She thrives in the fast-paced and dynamic environment of recruitment, bringing her passion for connecting talented individuals with the right opportunities we have to offer. As a relative newcomer, she has already made a significant impact, hiring four individuals in such a short span!

On the other side is Liam, a versatile Administrator/Internal Recruiter, whose journey at Blueprint started as a Graduate Administrator. Demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth, Liam expressed an interest in recruitment, leading to a successful transition into the Internal Recruitment team. His days are a dynamic mix of administrative tasks and contributing to the internal recruitment process.

Conducting thorough research on recruitment practices and delving into the specifics of the companies you are applying to, including a comprehensive study of job advertisements

Favourite part of working at BPRS:

My favourite part about Blueprint is the supportive environment. The one-to-one training that I received in my first week gave me the confidence to jump straight into my role.  The leadership team here are also very motivating, and I can see a clearly defined career path for myself.

Hobbies:

I love to spend time socializing with my family and friends on the weekend. I also enjoy skiing and horse riding.

Q&A

Q: What motivated you to venture into the recruitment field, especially in your new role at BPRS?

A: After finishing university, I knew recruitment was something I wanted to pursue. It has always been a goal of mine due to its dynamic nature and fast-paced environment, it’s somewhere I could really see myself thriving. At Blueprint, the opportunity to connect people with the right roles is particularly exciting for me, I love talking to candidates and finding top-talent to bring into the company.

Q: Being relatively new to your role, how have you found the experience so far?

A: Since my first day, everyone at Blueprint has been extremely helpful and supportive, so it’s made the adjustment into my role very easy. The one-to-one training that I received gave me confidence to jump straight into my role, and it’s certainly paid off as I’ve hired 4 people for the company in such a short amount of time!

Q: As you navigate your early days at BPRS, how do you envision contributing to the company's recruitment success?

A: My focus is on staying adaptable and continuously learning. I believe in leveraging my research skills to understand the recruitment landscape and contribute effectively to our team's objectives. I plan on building up my personal brand on LinkedIn as well, which will include monthly articles on my page all about getting hired and standing out in the interview process, so be sure to look out for those!

Top tip for job hunting in Recruitment:

Make sure that everything is spelt correctly on your CV! This is always a common mistake. To get to know you better, also make sure to add your hobbies. This makes you stand out and it is a good conversation piece.  

Favourite part of working at BPRS:

Two things; the people I work with, everyone is extremely friendly and we share laughs on daily basis. The new benefits system!

Hobbies:

Outside of the office, I am an avid gym-goer, committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. I am also a passionate football enthusiast, and I proudly support Chelsea.

Q&A

Q: As someone involved in admin and internal recruitment, what's a typical day like for you at BPRS?

A: My days are quite dynamic, ranging from handling administrative and compliance tasks to assisting with the internal recruitment process. It keeps things interesting! I enjoy every day being different and getting into the office in the morning expecting a busy day, I would not change this!

Q: What qualities does Blueprint Recruitment look for in candidates during the hiring process?

A: All candidates that we recruit must align with our core values of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. We want candidates who can show to us that they are interested in the role, have researched us thoroughly, and picture themselves working with us for a long time – we’re here to build careers after all!

The ideal candidate is one that is eager to learn and passionate to improve themselves. We value adaptability, a passion for learning and a commitment to our positive and dynamic culture.

Q: How has your time at Blueprint shaped your career growth and personal development?

A: I initially joined the company as a Graduate Administrator, which involved sending out contracts, dealing with insurances, right-to-works, and negotiating contract extensions with clients. I then expressed to my managers that I wanted to try out doing some recruitment for the company, and together, we explored the possibility of transitioning into the Internal Recruitment team, a move that aligned with my evolving career goals. This shift allowed me to not only expand my skill set but also contributed to the dynamic nature of my role within the company.
