Blueprint recruitment is working with a respected Engineering and Data Analytics Consultancy, who are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis, in Gloucester.

The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis!

This position offers the chance to work with experienced Engineers and Consultants, on exciting Residential Projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in technical design and analysis for both new construction and existing steel, as well as reinforced above and below-ground concrete civil structures
  • Utilise appropriate structural analysis and design tools, adhering to local and national guidelines
  • Foster collaborations and build relationships with individuals to facilitate the delivery of projects
  • Assist in the preparation of briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals
  • Efficiently manage time and budgets, ensuring alignment with project milestones and schedules

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working as a Civil Design Engineer
  • In-depth familiarity with structural Engineering codes, including Eurocodes and BSI standards
  • A degree in Civil Engineering 
  • Hands-on experience in reinforced concrete design and detailing, encompassing water-retaining structures, soil-retaining structures, and foundation design
  • Proficiency in computational analysis techniques and software
  • Proven track record of dedication to sustainability practices
  • Understanding of cost and contract management is beneficial
