This job opportunity for an Electrical Associate is one you don’t want to miss!

The successful candidate will be permanently joining a respected multidiscipline Property and Construction Consultancy, working hybrid, based 2-3 times a week in the Reading office. This role involves contributing to a range of major projects.  

Our client is expanding its dynamic team due to the increasing demands for services in various sectors including, Defence, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Leisure.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Attending project group and technical meetings
  • Working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen
  • Lead MEP Engineering teams delivering a range of project work
  • Supporting more junior staff to develop
  • Managing risk within MEP engineering projects
  • Supervising and monitoring the work of others in this function
  • Ensure building systems designs and maintenance meet legislative and health and safety requirements
  • Producing reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages
  • Ability to use specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
  • Communicating and working closely with other professionals, including Structural Engineers, Architects, surveyors, and Contractors

Key Requirements:

  • The ability to form and maintain working relationships
  • Strong project management skills
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards
  • Previous experience within an electrical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background
  • Honours degree in a relevant subject or equivalent 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
