Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a well-known Defence Company, on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will attend the Plymouth office on a hybrid basis to work on a large Defence project.

Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager to support the delivery of Engineering outcomes whilst making day-to-day Engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Liaise with the supply chain on technical matters

· Lead and manage the Engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of projects

· Provide strategic direction and technical guidance on complex Engineering challenges

· Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with project managers

· Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards

· Ensure that Engineering designs comply with relevant standards and codes

Key Requirements:

- A degree in Engineering or a relevant field

- Ability to achieve Security Clearence

- Chartered Engineer status or working towards

- Nuclear and Defence experience is desirable

- Experience working as a Team manager, managing at least 50 people

- Strong knowledge of Design and Nuclear Safety

- Past experience working on Major projects

- Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering experience

- Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills

- Able to assess quality work of design and safety

- Ability to make Engineering decisions based on design options and approvals

- Extensive knowledge of design codes is desired
