Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a driven Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join a global Energy and Renewables Company, on a permanent basis.

This position is offering the successful Engineer the opportunity to join an experienced technical team and collaborate with Engineers, Consultants and Project Managers on a major Energy facility project, in Cumbria.

If selected, you will be responsible for ensuring a quality service is delivered to customers whilst also supporting the ongoing development of less experienced members of the Engineering team. Our client specialises in a variety of sectors, including, Oil and Gas, Power and Renewable Energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering the full project lifecycle for mechanical/piping engineering services
  • Manage and supervise Engineering project requirements, providing technical advice
  • Assist the development of less experienced members of the team
  • Ensure the project scope is clear, outlining requirements to wider team
  • Advise during procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • Providing timely and effective communication with the engineering team and wider project stakeholders
  • Work closing with the Project Management team to ensure the commercial aspects of projects from conception through to completion are achieved

Key Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree and ideally
  • Chartered status or working towards
  • Significant technical and practical Engineering skills and experience in the energy industry including
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental requirements of Mechanical/Piping Engineering, including:
    • Equipment layout
    • Design of pump and piping systems
    • Fluid system analysis and design
    • Pipe stress analysis
  • Ability to proactively work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a UK Security Clearance
