Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team working on major water sector projects in collaboration with a leading global consultancy.

Based in Bristol with hybrid flexibility, this role will involve delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities

·         Deliver mechanical design packages for major water and wastewater projects

·         Produce detailed calculations, specifications and technical reports

·         Design pumping stations, treatment works and associated mechanical systems

·         Develop layouts and system schematics in line with project requirements

·         Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical and process engineers

·         Attend design reviews and technical meetings

·         Ensure compliance with industry standards and water sector regulations

Requirements

·         Proven experience within the UK water sector (essential)

·         Experience working on water or wastewater treatment projects

·         Strong mechanical design background within Building Services or infrastructure

·         Ability to produce and review detailed engineering calculations

·         Experience operating at the Engineer or Senior Engineer level

·         Excellent communication and coordination skills
