Job Title: Senior BIM Technician (Building Services)

Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior BIM Technician to join a global, multidisciplinary consultancy's Midlands Building Engineering team.

This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging and innovative projects across commercial, infrastructure, healthcare and education sectors. You will play a key role in digital delivery, model coordination and BIM leadership within a collaborative, multi-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and production of BIM models, drawings and structured data
• Oversee model setup, drawing production and family management within Revit
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Support Project Managers through progress reporting and technical updates
• Supervise and mentor junior BIM Technicians and Designers
• Promote innovation, automation and continuous improvement in BIM workflows
• Provide technical BIM support across the wider team

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit (model setup, modelling, drawing production, family creation/management)
• Strong background in Building Services coordination
• Previous experience managing or mentoring team members
• Experience delivering projects across multiple stages
• Understanding of structured data and BIM standards
• Interest in digital automation and workflow optimisation
• Working towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g., EngTech) is desirable

Hybrid working is available from either the Birmingham or Nottingham offices.
