Overview

A significant opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to lead and grow a civil engineering function in Leeds.

This role will focus on highways and drainage design across industrial, logistics and major data centre developments. There is an immediate pipeline of high-value data centre work ready to be delivered, with approximately £1M of secured projects awaiting the right leadership hire.

This is a strategic appointment, with the civil engineering team to be built around the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead highways and drainage design delivery across major schemes

·         Oversee S38 and S278 agreements and technical submissions

·         Take technical ownership of industrial, logistics and data centre projects

·         Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams

·         Provide strategic direction and technical governance

·         Contribute to business development and client relationship management

·         Build, mentor and develop a civil engineering team

Requirements

·         Extensive experience in highways and drainage design

·         Strong working knowledge of S38 and S278 processes

·         Proven experience delivering large-scale industrial or data centre projects

·         Experience operating at the Associate or senior leadership level

·         Strong commercial awareness and client-facing capability

·         Ambition to lead and grow a team
