An opportunity has arisen for a BIM Technician to join a Building Services Consultancy from their St Albans office on a hybrid basis, working within a collaborative design environment.

This role will support the production and coordination of BIM models across a variety of commercial, leisure, education and mixed-use projects, covering RIBA stages 1-5, whilst working closely with engineers and design teams to ensure efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

·         Produce and manage BIM models for the Building Services projects

·         Develop and maintain detailed Revit models and drawings

·         Create and modify Revit families and system components as needed

·         Coordinate mechanical, electrical and public health systems

·         Maintain model accuracy and ensure compliance with BIM standards

·         Assist with clash detection and model coordination reviews

·         Input and manage COBie data within MEP models

·         Generate Revit schedules and assist in producing quantity and asset data

·         Contribute to BIM workflows and digital delivery processes across projects

 

Key Requirements

·         A minimum of 2 years experience using Revit MEP software

·         Experience working as a BIM Technician within a Building Services environment

·         Strong understanding of BIM workflows and coordination processes

·         Previous experience using Navisworks for clash detection

·         Familiarity with COBie data structures and implementation for MEP systems is preferred

·         Relevant technical qualification, ideally a university degree in Building Services or Engineering.

·         Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM level 2 standards

·         Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams

·         Strong communication and organisational skills
