This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a London-based Building Services consultancy working predominantly across residential projects with a strong sustainability focus.

The business is open to engineers from Intermediate through to Senior level, with a minimum of around four years’ experience. They’re looking for someone with a solid mechanical design background who is also genuinely interested in how sustainability can be integrated into Building Services design.

Alongside flexible working, the position also offers a profit share scheme on top of salary, providing an additional benefit rarely seen at this level.

The Role

You’ll be involved in:

• Delivering mechanical Building Services design across residential projects
• Developing mechanical designs through different stages of project delivery
• Producing and coordinating designs using Revit
• Working closely with sustainability specialists and wider project teams
• Considering sustainability and building performance throughout the design process
• Producing technical design information, calculations and documentation
• Coordinating mechanical services with electrical and other disciplines
• Supporting projects from concept through detailed design and delivery
• Attending London sites occasionally as projects require
• Working collaboratively with clients, consultants and wider design teams

What They’re Looking For

• Minimum 4 years’ Mechanical Building Services design experience
• Strong mechanical design background rather than a purely sustainability-focused profile
• Previous experience using Revit
• Experience delivering residential Building Services projects
• Good understanding of mechanical systems and design principles
• Genuine interest in sustainability and its application within engineering design
• Ability to produce and coordinate technical design information
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills
• Comfortable attending occasional site visits in London

Engineers at both Intermediate and Senior level will be considered, with salary dependent on experience.
