Attention Mechanical Design Engineers!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are searching for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a sustainable Design Consultancy, on a contract basis.

This role is located in Manchester and requires the successful candidate to operate on a hybrid basis to work on large Retail and Commercial projects.

Due to our client’s growth, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to be responsible for specifying all aspects of Mechanical Building Services in accordance with current guidelines, standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the concept through to construction

· Ensure projects are delivered to agreed client requirements, budgets and quality standards

· Work closely with clients and project teams to establish project requirements

· Represent the Company at meetings with all stakeholders

· Prepare project reports for Management and Clients

· Manage designs, compliant with latest CDM regulations

· Liaise with the CAD team on Mechanical drawing production

· Complete risk and performance monitoring analysis through effective systems

Key Requirements:

· A degree in a Mechanical Engineering

· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Sound working knowledge of key health and safety issues/legislation

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Want to take ownership, be innovative and use initiative

· Have experience in coordinating a multi-disciplinary design team
