New SCL Engineer Opportunity!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a motivated SCL Engineer to join a multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, on a contract basis.

Our client is offering the successful SCL Engineer the flexibility to attend the West London office on a hybrid basis to work on major Rail and Tunnelling projects.

As the selected candidate, you will be a key member of the team, providing SCL supervision and managing a team of SCL Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

· Participate in meetings and prepare / review the RESS

· Review method statements, Inspections & Test Plans and EPP’s

· Daily visits to each of the tunnel faces 

· Review of settlement mitigation methodologies and actions arising

· Confirm with the Design House that the built works meet the intent of the design drawings and specifications

· Making changes to SCL designs

· Reviewing above ground and below ground monitoring data that is relevant to the SCL tunnelling operation

· Liaising with the Design House on any modifications or changes to the design

· Escalating appropriate concerns to the Design Director

Key Requirements:

· A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

· SMSTS – Will grant a dispensation if they don’t have it, however they will need to arrange training soon

· Relevant experience of SCL construction 

· CSCS white Card

· Thorough understanding and application of the CDM Regulations 2015

· Strong communication skills  

· Technical Engineering experience

· Excellent design knowledge

· Technical assurance experience
