Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Designer! Our client is looking to add a talented individual to their team on a contract basis. This role offers the chance to work on an exciting waste to energy project. The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with 3 days per week based in the client’s Leatherhead office. Our client is a leading global engineering and technology company, delivering innovative solutions in aerospace, defence, energy, and sustainability. What you will be responsible for: As a Senior Designer, you will be supporting the lead designer to carry out the following tasks within allotted timelines and budgets: -Coordinate, model in E3D and produce composite underground services drawing showing all underground services like drainage, firewater, potable water, cable trenches etc. -Develop detailed E3D models and drawings for site infrastructure such as paving, access roads, haul roads, and service roads. The successful candidate must be able to commute into Kent, as this position requires office presence on a hybrid basis to work on Water/Water Treatment projects. If selected, you will be responsible for providing expertise whilst ensuring the successful delivery of projects to agreed budget and quality requirements. Responsibilities Develop electrical schematics, schedules, specifications, and user requirement documents using templated designs. Liaise with control panel and system integration suppliers, including conducting acceptance tests remotely or on-site. Manage 10–20 projects at various stages, ensuring compliance with project requirements and high-quality assurance. Adapt standard designs to meet individual water company specifications. Oversee procurement, manufacturing, and inspection of components, skids, and control panels. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design, procurement, and commissioning phases. Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within supplier or contractor organisations. Strong knowledge of electrical design processes and managing multiple concurrent projects. Familiarity with procurement and inspection processes for electrical components and systems.
