Blueprint Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a leading design and build provider in the water sector. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in London, requiring in-office presence 50% of the time over a two-week period. Key Responsibilities: -Excellence in Health and Safety, complying fully with relevant local specifications, codes, rules, regulations and requirements of all relevant regulations. -Lead the design team in delivery of their responsibilities and ensure a focused approach to meet project objectives and customer requirements. -Accountability for expenditure, drive efficiency and manage overall outturn costs for design with the production of design deliverables. -Ensure all technical work is undertaken to the correct standards and specifications. -Maintain a positive and solution-orientated approach to work, providing honest feedback. -Contribution to achieving sustainability targets, with key focus on reducing embodied and operational Carbon Footprints of solutions. -To organise all elements of design, documenting it in the Design Management Plan and preparing monthly status update reports as necessary. The successful candidate will work five days a week in the client’s office in Manchester, dropping to a hybrid arrangement, with 2-3 days in the office after 2 months. Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction contractor with expertise across the rail industry.
