Attention all Senior Mechanical Design Engineers!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist Design and Engineering Consultancy, on a contract basis.

Our client is providing the flexibility to work on an exciting Nuclear project on a hybrid basis, requiring the selected candidate to attend the Manchester office just 1 day per week!

As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Mechanical inputs are correctly designed and installed, whilst working with an established team.

Key Responsibilities:

· The design of Mechanical Services systems

· Use of design software to prepare calculations and designs

· Produce specifications and equipment schedules

· Support more junior Mechanical Engineers

· Delivery of work in line with ACE, RIBA and BSRIA frameworks

· Ensure projects are delivered within budgets and timescales

· Maintain and develop strong client relations

· Attend design team and client meetings

Key Requirements:

· Prior experience working in the Nuclear industry

· A degree in Engineering or a relevant subject

· Extensive experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer

· Great attention to detail

· Excellent knowledge of Sustainability measures

· Ability to use AutoCAD to prepare Engineering drawings

· Experience using Revit MEP/BIM software modelling

· Previous experience using energy modelling software e.g. IES
