We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our client in a contract role. The successful candidate will work five days a week in the client’s office in Manchester, dropping to a hybrid arrangement, with 2-3 days in the office after 2 months. Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction contractor with expertise across the rail industry. Key Responsibilities: -Develop and deliver mechanical designs and detailed engineering documentation in line with project requirements. -Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports. -Conduct on-site visits, inspections, and surveys to assess existing systems and support design validation. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and health and safety regulations. -Provide technical input during project planning, risk assessments, and design reviews. They are looking for someone to join them in a contract role, who will bring expert experience to their team. The successful candidate will be based at the clients Cumbria office, with the option to work in a hybrid role also. Our client is a global leading engineering consultancy, focusing on a range of sectors including transport, energy, water and buildings. Key Responsibilities: -Manage quantity surveying tasks for projects and work packages. -Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to control costs. -Liaise with client to meet business needs. -Manage the main contract and ensure proper documentation, including preparing and issuing subcontract documentation. -Oversee payment applications and prepare cost reports, budgets, and forecasts. -Assist in managing subcontractor performance. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with up to three days per week required in the client's Birmingham office. Our client is a global engineering design and build consultancy, known for delivering sustainable and innovative solutions. You will be joining an expert team working specifically on an exciting national grid project, focusing on all aspects of substation upgrades and extensions, whilst shaping the future for the national grid network! Key Responsibilities of your role: -You will play a key role in supporting the preparation of project proposals, by leading presentations and contract negotiations. Then supporting such project from concept to completion. -Be responsible for reporting regularly on the projects progress – including costs, procurement issues, potential impacts, and design questions etc. -Support the current relationships with clients, project stake holders, regulatory bodies and subcontractors. Our client is a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, delivering critical infrastructure that protects communities and the environment. Key Responsibilities: -Manage the commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants to ensure they meet project requirements. -Work closely with design, construction, and project teams to ensure a smooth handover to operations. -Plan and carry out commissioning tasks like testing, process tuning, and final handover. -Identify and solve technical issues during commissioning. -Prepare reports, documentation, and updates on progress. -Communicate with clients, regulators, and suppliers as needed. -Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
