Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled M&E Site Manager to join a leading engineering and construction firm, in a contract position outside IR35. As the successful candidate you will be required to work full-time on site in Swaffham, Norfolk. You will be working on a large-scale National Grid Substation project. -Competitive day rate of £550 (depending on experience). -Full-time on-site working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Ensure adherence to SHE policies, CDM regulations, and statutory requirements. -Lead and motivate teams including subcontractors; provide supervision, coaching, and performance monitoring. -Deliver projects safely, on time, and in line with client and company expectations. -Manage daily and weekly reporting on resources, materials, and subcontractor performance. -Undertake site inspections and maintain accurate records. -Liaise with clients, customers, local authorities, and third parties to support ongoing and future works. -Conduct quality checks per contract specs and maintain operational standards. -Ensure compliance with company HSQE policies and maintain accurate operative records. SITE ENGINEER

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a global engineering and construction firm, in a long-term contract position outside IR35. You will be required to work full-time on site in either Luton or Wisbech, both positions will be working on a large-scale substation projects. -Competitive day rate of £400 (depending on experience). -On site working. Key Responsibilities: -Interpret and maintain all site drawings, verify subcontractor works, manage technical queries/RFIs, and ensure all works comply with AFC drawings and specifications. -Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying tasks; confirm setting out locations on site and ensure compliance with drawings; issue permits and manage temporary works as TWC. -Lead by example in health, safety, quality, and environmental matters; support QA/QC processes, ensure all installations follow SQP, PQP, ITPs, and manage witness/hold points. -Maintain site records, diaries, QA documentation, as-built data, and final handover packages; produce timely reports and attend/lead briefings as required. -Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors and assist with planning and execution to meet deadlines. You will be required to work full time on site in South Wales, working on a large-scale substation project. -Competitive CIS day rate ranging from £375-£475 (depending on experience). -Full time on site working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Assist PCSM overseeing and subcontractors undertaking piling, SGT bund construction, below ground earthing & LV ducting installations. -Maintain accurate and up-to-date HS&E documentation, ensuring all versions are current and properly reviewed. -Support clients by meeting or exceeding KPIs, and carry out any additional duties as required by management. MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join a leading engineering contractor on a permanent basis. You will be required to work full-time in a Preston based office, with site visits to Salford also required. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting water treatment projects, as part of a highly skilled and motivated team. Salary: Circa £55,000 + package Key Responsibilities: Deliver and oversee the technical governance of mechanical packages from procurement to installation and commissioning. Manage MEICA procurement packages, including equipment scopes, subcontract packages, and compliance with project requirements. Oversee selection and approval of pumps, valves, actuators, lifting equipment, and associated systems, ensuring all design data is verified and documented. Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and civil works with the wider project delivery team. Manage and track subcontractor and supplier performance against cost and programme targets, mitigating risks where necessary. Conduct on-site and off-site inspections, FAT/SAT witness testing, and ensure all quality assurance procedures are followed. Oversee defect management and maintenance during the defect liability period. Liaise with client representatives, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, including UU, WIMES, ATEX, and DSEAR. What We Are Looking For: Essential: Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within the water treatment or utilities sector. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, procurement processes, and industry regulations. Ability to review and approve subcontractor designs. Excellent project management skills with experience managing budgets, programmes, and risks. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Relevant engineering qualifications (degree or equivalent). Full UK driving licence. Desirable: Experience working with water utility frameworks (UU, C2V+). Familiarity with NEC contract management.
