The Role
We are seeking a talented Public Health Engineer to join a well-established Building Services consultancy in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, and coordination of public health systems within building services projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and specification of public health systems, including:
· Above and below ground drainage systems
· Hot and cold-water services
· Rainwater harvesting systems
· Greywater recycling systems
· Sanitaryware specification
· Preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and specifications
· Undertaking site surveys and inspections
· Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers
· Attending design meetings and liaising with clients and contractors
· Ensuring compliance with current UK regulations and standards
· Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
Requirements
· Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or related discipline
· Proven experience in public health design within the Building Services sector
· Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
· Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
· Excellent communication and coordination skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
· Chartered or working towards professional accreditation (CIBSE or equivalent)
· Experience working on commercial, residential, healthcare, or education projects
