DRAINAGE ENGINEER

London | Hybrid | Contract

An exciting new opportunity is now on offer, here at Blueprint Recruitment, for multiple skilled Drainage Engineers to join a global engineering firm, on a contract basis, outside IR35. The chosen candidate will be expected to work on a hybrid basis, 2 days a week, from our client’s London office. Within this role, you will be responsible for the development of a variety of Residential and Commercial projects, with a focus on drainage systems. -Competitive hourly rate of £36-£40 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangements. Responsibilities: -Produce technical designs for surface and water drainage systems, with an inclusion of SuDS features. -Compose strategies, documentation, and calculations for drainage systems. -Build rapport with clients, teams of professionals, and regulatory bodies to ensure that the project is meeting the requirements that have been set. -Attend site visits to allow for project development assessments and inspections. -Use software tools such as Civil3D, Causeway flow, AutoCAD, and InfoDrainage to expertly create drainage designs. -Assist the project’s delivery from start to finish. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, or a related field. -Extensive experience as a Drainage Engineer, or a similar role, working predominantly on drainage systems within the Commercial and Residential sectors. -Strong understanding of the use of software tools, such as Civil3D, InfoDrainage, Causeway flow, and AutoCAD. -Solid grasp of current UK drainage standards, best practices, and SuDS. -Excellent communicator, with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to work collaboratively with other professionals. -Working towards a membership of a professional body, such as ICE and/or CIWEM, is ideal. ENGINEERING MANAGER

Blueprint Recruitment are excited to announce a new role is now available for a skilled Engineering Manager to join a well-established civil engineering consultancy, on a contract basis. The chosen candidate will be expected to work on a hybrid basis from our client’s London office, 3 days a week, but will be required to assume an on-site arrangement initially. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a Civil Engineering project, managing the project’s progression and development. -Competitive hourly rate of £70-£75 (depending on experience) -Hybrid working arrangements. Responsibilities: -Manage teams of engineers through assets, ensuring the project maintains consistency and alignment with project requirements, promoting collaboration. -Step into both Lead Designer and Subject Matter Expert roles for projects centred around Headhouses and Fitout systems. -Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, Health, Safety and Welfare, and drive to deliver innovation and on-going development and progression. -Ensure efficient and accurate design delivery through risk management, the control of project adaptations and changes, whilst ensuring constructability. -Direct and collaborate with subcontractors and be responsible for the project’s Site Support Budget. -Foster productivity and optimisation within the project, ensuring all elements align with the requirements, set out by the client. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis, from our client’s office located in Basingstoke, 3 days a week. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of engineers and professionals, working on projects centred around rail, infrastructure, utilities, and energy. -Competitive salary ranging from £65,000-£75,000 (depending on experience). -Company pension scheme, generous annual leave, and ongoing career development opportunities. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a hybrid basis from our client’s Bristol office, 3 days a week. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and building projects, as a valued member of a skilled team. -Competitive day rate ranging from £340-£390 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangements. Responsibilities: -Oversee BIM design models and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring the designs meet the project requirements. -Conduct clash detection tests to find complications, and problems, and ensure that the models follow project specifications and the BIM Execution Plan. -Make sure that models are concise and that documentation is organised efficiently in the Common Data Environment. -Run regular quality checks to ensure that the design models comply with client and project requirements. -Organise coordination meetings to discuss and find solutions for any design and/or model issues and challenges. -Attend site visits to make sure the project is progressing effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client’s office, located near Liverpool. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Highway, Bridge, and Rail projects, with a focus on local council work. -Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience) -Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days on-site) Responsibilities: -Create and analyse bridge structure designs for a variety of infrastructure projects. -Put together accurate calculations, reports, and specifications for the project, ensuring that all designs follow the project specifications and requirements. -Conduct structural assessments, feasibility evaluations, and site visits to ensure the project is progressing efficiently through all the project stages. -Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, whilst providing professional advice and guidance throughout construction. -Ensure that the project follows all current standards, quality procedures, and safety requirements. -Help junior engineers expand their knowledge, whilst aiding in service development.
