Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a Document Controller to join a large multidisciplinary consultancy, on a contract basis, outside IR35. This position will require you to work in the client’s office four days a week in Newcastle, with one day a week working remotely from home, working on an exciting large shipyard project. As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for all document control functions ensuring compliance with the company’s and client’s requirements. Our client: As a large, multi-disciplinary consultancy, our client specialises in providing civil and structural design expertise across a range of infrastructure projects in the UK. The consultancy has profound experience in a variety of sectors, including energy, aviation and urban development. What you will be responsible for: -Effectively communicate with project management, clients and sub-contractors, to ensure that information is distributed and managed correctly. -Solve problems relating to documentation, information and associated data. -Define and develop project document reports and statistics. -Ensure the correct implementation and use of document management processes, systems, and tools. -Appropriately process and store project documentation within internal server. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of exciting projects across the industrial, residential, and education sectors. The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with 3 days per week based in the client’s Liverpool office. Our client is an award-winning engineering consultancy, providing multi-disciplinary services across civil, structural, transport planning, and geo-environmental engineering sectors. What you will be responsible for: -Manage and lead structural engineering projects from concept to completion. -Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. -Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met. -Prepare and review detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications. -Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. -Attend site visits and inspections as required. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and coordinate projects with high-quality technical design. -Produce technical design documents (sketches, calculations, specifications, and reports). -Review and approve reports, designs, and calculations per quality procedures. -Conduct structural surveys and provide findings, conclusions, and recommendations. -Communicate effectively with clients, authorities, and the design team. -Plan site investigations and prepare reports. -Attend and record actions in design and site meetings. This is a fantastic contract opportunity working 3 days per week on site in Southwest England, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-impact projects in a technically challenging environment.
