TEMPORARY WORKS ENGINEER

Blueprint Recruitment are looking for experienced Temporary Works Design Engineer’s to join a reputable construction and civil engineering company on a long-term contract basis. This role requires travel to the Hertfordshire OR Manchester office 3x a week, to assist with a mixture of security cleared projects (BPSS, SC or DV clearance highly beneficial). -Hourly rate between £40-50 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Design and coordinate temporary works in line with project and safety requirements. -Review and approve internal and subcontractor designs. -Collaborate with site teams to ensure safe, timely implementation. -Support planning and sequencing with the Temporary Works Coordinator. -Conduct site inspections and provide technical support. -Prepare risk assessments, calculations, drawings, and method statements. -Ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice, and company procedures. Attention all Senior Structural Engineers! We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a leading Civil and Structural engineering company, in a permanent position. You will be required to work in a hybrid arrangement from our clients Edinburgh office. This is a great opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, with an experienced and motivated team. -Competitive salary from £42,000-£58,000 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities: -Lead and coordinate projects with high-quality technical design. -Produce technical design documents (sketches, calculations, specifications, and reports). -Review and approve reports, designs, and calculations per quality procedures. -Conduct structural surveys and provide findings, conclusions, and recommendations. -Communicate effectively with clients, authorities, and the design team. -Plan site investigations and prepare reports. -Attend and record actions in design and site meetings. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement, working in office 3 days a week, in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity to work on petrochemical projects with a motivated and experienced team. -Rates from £60-65 an hour (Outside IR35), depending on experience. Responsibilities: -Lead a team of engineers and designers, supporting petrochemical design and construction projects. -Act as the primary client and senior leadership contact for civil and structural services, managing quality, schedule, and budget. -Oversee and review technical design work, ensuring compliance and high standards across drawings, calculations, and specifications. -Deliver value engineering, coordinate effectively with teams, and communicate designs clearly across disciplines. Key Responsibilities: -Contribute to the delivery of small to medium infrastructure projects by producing high-quality, technically sound designs that meet relevant standards and codes. -Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary design team while managing your time efficiently and adhering to quality and technical assurance procedures. -Work in compliance with BIM standards, the Digital Plan of Work, and the project-specific BIM Execution Plan.
