MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

London | Contract
£44 - £50 per Hour

Take a leap and join our client’s cutting edge engineering consultancy where your expertise, as a Mechanical Design Engineer could shape and define sustainable building environments. Our client is offering the opportunity to work on a contract basis, outside IR35, on a hybrid working arrangement, where you will work 3 days a week from their office in London. Within this role, you will play a crucial role in the development of a variety of complex Data Centre projects. -Competitive rate of £44-£50 per hour (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangements (3 days on site). Responsibilities: -Produce and develop detailed building services system designs, from concept through to design, with a focus on mechanical system elements. -Create concise performance analyses and calculations, for all mechanical works, with the use of simulation and modelling tools when required. -Put together technical specifications, drawings, and equipment schedules by using CAD and BIM software tools. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a smooth integration of designs and models into the project plans, ensuring efficiency, constructability, and transparency. -Conduct site visits, surveys, and commissioning processes, whilst also assisting throughout the implementation stages ensuring built systems align with the designs. -Support the assessment of low-carbon and sustainable design opportunities, propose alternative design methods, and ensure that designs comply with key requirements. ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

£38 - £50 per Hour

Are you ready for the next step in your career journey? Due to our client’s ongoing commitment to excellence, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their well-established environmental consultancy to enhance their impressive service delivery and operations. The chosen applicant will be working on a contract basis, outside IR35, working on a hybrid basis, initially working 4 days a week but will reduce to 3 days after the first month, where all work will be centred around our client’s London office. You will have the opportunity to work on a large-scale Museum project, stage 3. -Competitive hourly rate of £38-£50 (depending on experience). -Hybrid working arrangements (3-4 days on site). Responsibilities: -Assist the design and delivery stages within a large-scale Museum project, from concept through to design, with a focus on Electrical process elements. -Conduct extensive electrical load calculations, lighting design, equipment allocation and selection, and distribution drawings, ensuring alignment with current regulations. -Produce concise specifications and drawings using relevant software, such as Revit and AutoCAD, whilst working with other professionals ensuring system integration. -Conduct site visits, commissioning, and inspections, allowing for installation reviews, troubleshooting issue identification, as-built alignment, and quality assurance. -Support sustainability through producing design strategies, ensuring that low carbon, electrical solution resilience, and energy efficiency are being implemented. -Keep up to date with industry progressions and apply them into projects. Within this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working 4 days a week for the first month and then 3 days thereafter, from our client’s London office.
