Job Title: Project Manager (OT / Controls Systems) Location: Work from home Job Type: Contract Duration: 6 Months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Hours: 40 per week Rate: £600–£800 per day Start Date: ASAP Travel: European site travel (expenses covered) Overview An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery and deployment of operational technology (OT) systems across multiple European sites. This role will focus on technical oversight, governance and site deployment coordination, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational standards. The position requires a technically capable project manager with experience across BMS, PLC and SCADA environments, combined with the ability to manage site deployment risks and decision-making across multiple locations. The role will involve travel to European project sites, including Norway, Portugal and Iceland, with travel expenses covered. Key Responsibilities · Provide European field representation, leading site reviews and coordinating deployment activities · Deliver weekly updates on site progress, risks and key decisions · Act as technical authority for OT architecture, including BMS, PLC and SCADA systems · Review and validate OEM technical proposals against established standards · Enforce disciplined change control processes across project sites · Maintain and manage a live risk register across all active deployments · Escalate safety-related deviations and major technical decisions where required · Support on-site deployment at critical project milestones · Remove technical, logistical and commercial blockers affecting site delivery · Confirm operational readiness criteria before systems are accepted into operation · Document project decisions, standards and technical processes · Support onboarding of a permanent European Controls Lead Requirements · Proven experience working as a Project Manager on technical or automation projects · Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments · Experience with BMS, PLC and SCADA systems · Experience managing technical deployments across multiple sites · Strong risk management and change control experience · Ability to coordinate stakeholders across international project teams · Comfortable travelling across European project sites Candidate Profile You will be a technically capable Project Manager with experience delivering complex control systems or operational technology deployments. This contract role will focus on MEP coordination, Revit modelling and multidisciplinary design collaboration within a busy consultancy environment. The successful candidate will support the delivery of coordinated mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) models across active projects. The team ideally requires 3 days per week in the office, although candidates able to attend 2 days per week will also be considered.
