Our client is on the hunt for a talented and experienced individual to help enhance and develop their leading engineering consultancy beyond operational brilliance. Joining on a permanent basis, the selected candidate will be working 3 days a week, on a hybrid basis, from their office in Maidstone. -Competitive salary ranging between £45,000 and £55,000 (depending on experience).
-Hybrid working arrangements (3 days on-site).
Responsibilities:
-Manage and oversee the structural design, detailing, and analysis works within a variety of Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Retail projects, from start to finish.
-Look over and finalise technical outputs, with a focus on ensuring drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications are all ready to be signed off.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals ensuring smooth implementation of project ideas and developments, whilst resolving any issues that may arise.
-Coordinate with architects, internal teams, contractors, and clients to figure out project specifications, such as scope, programme, budget, and deliverables.
-Ensure project quality, risk management, budgets, and timelines throughout to ensure alignment with design standards and regulatory principles.
-Support business development through bidding, proposal delivery, and client presentations, whilst also sourcing opportunities for operation progression.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
-Extensive experience as a Structural Engineer, or a similar position, within a consultancy environment, with a chartered status, or working towards attaining one.
-Previous experience creating accurate drawings for Commercial, Residential, Retail, and Industrial projects, using software tools such as Tekla, Tedds, and Revit platforms.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.
